From Stan Hugill's Songs of the Sea, this shanty comes from Captain Sternvall, who says it is an old working song used at one time in Swedish ports when loading cargo. He claims there are eighteen verses in all, but that most are not suitable for publication because they refer to the "eighteen points of feeling in the body."
